Lake McMurtry Friends is a non-for-profit organization that manages and maintains the natural resources and outdoor recreation of Lake McMurtry.  Lake McMurtry Friends uses the park as a platform to promote outdoor recreation, education, and conservation to the surrounding communities.  Daily activities include fishing, hiking, mountain biking, kayak & paddle board rentals, and disc golfing. Overnight RV & tent camping is available as well. Annual events include, Spring Celebration in March, Family Mud Run in April, Family Fishing Tournament in July, Santa in the Park in December, and Park clean up days in the Spring & Fall.
